In Egypt’s Wahat region, the Black Desert was formed millions of years ago by volcanoes. The eruptions spread dark rocks across the sand, creating strange black hills that the wind and time shaped. Not far away, the White Desert looks like something from another world. Around 80 million years ago, this area was covered by ocean, and when the water disappeared, the remains of sea creatures and soft rocks were carved by the wind into amazing shapes. Walking there feels like traveling back in time to a completely different world.
Depart Cairo at 7 AM, arrive at Bahariya Oasis, have a brief rest and a quick Lunch in El-Heiz Village before starting our Safari. Begin our 4x4 adventure in the Black Desert by visiting the Crystal and Volcanic Mountains. Head to explore the White Desert Wadi al-Aqabat and Sandboard over its dunes. Finally catch a magnificent peaceful Sunset view, where we camp overnight and have a Barbecue Dinner and a sky full of stars.
Breakfast in the desert, explore more by visiting White Desert National Park. Our last stop before returning to Cairo, will be relaxing in this sulfur-rich hot spring which is renowned for its therapeutic, mineral-rich waters that are believed to help treat rheumatism, joint pain, and digestive issues. Finally will return to Al-Heiz village to start heading back to Cairo.
